2025 Captain Rules Acknowledgement Form

All captains are responsible for knowing and understanding the complete set of USTA, USTA Texas, and SATA rules listed on the Leagues Page.

I understand and acknowledge the following rules:

All matches are to be played on the date and time listed in tennislink (both captains can agree to play matches early, but cannot agree to play matches late).

Scores must be reported by the winning captain within 48 hours of match completion.

Matches may be postponed if the temperature is 40 degrees or colder, or 105 degrees or warmer.

Matches may be postponed if sustained wind speeds are 30mph or higher.

There are no rules or considerations for wind chill, heat index, or wind gusts.

All captains should utilize weather.gov for verification of temperature and sustained wind speeds.

Players cannot be removed from a team once a season has started unless they have relocated outside the San Antonio area or must be removed as directed by USTA Texas or USTA National.

When a make-up match is played one line at a time, lineups are exchanged as each line is played.

TBD matches are listed in tennislink with a time of 12:15am and need to be scheduled by the captains to be played on or before the date listed for the match in tennislink.

Grievances: All complaints alleging a violation of any rule or conduct by an individual or team during local league competition must be filed by the team captain, in writing, with the League Director, by the deadline as specified in the SATA League Rules.

Floats: Captains will be required to reschedule lines or the match if the captain makes the request, provided the requesting team has rostered players registered for the event at the time of the request, and those players are scheduled in the lines of the make-up match.

Floats: The requesting captain must give a minimum 72-hour notice to the opposing captain to declare a float line. The rescheduling will fall under the 28-day make-up rule.

Make-ups: Once a match is rescheduled and confirmed by both captains (date, time, and site), the match cannot be changed unless it is rained out or weather is too severe to play (agreed by both captains).

Make-ups: Both captains are responsible for coordinating make-up matches.
