SATA Needs You!  Volunteer.

Our Program Volunteers are integral to providing  tennis programming  to  a  growing  community  of  children, adults, military veterans  and  those  with special needs.   Volunteers are often needed to help run drills, instruct participants on proper tennis technique and offer encouragement.

We  are  in  need  of  volunteers  to  assist  us  with  the following programs:

  • NJTL Home School Tennis Programs (weekday morning program)

  • NEISD  KIN  After  School  Tennis  Programs  (weekday  afternoon program)

  • NJTL Play Days (Saturday morning program)

  • Adaptive/Wounded Warrior Tennis Programs (weekday evening program)

  • Special Olympics

Little to no training is required to assist with these programs and should there be any required information or background  checks needed we will cover all associated fees.

Hospitality Volunteer

SATA hosts a number of events throughout the  year.  Hospitality  volunteers help us ensure that our events run smoothly by assisting with a variety of items such as food service at a player party or tournament, handing out prizes or t-shirts at a children's play day, or helping at our annual gala.

Community Outreach Volunteer

In  addition  to  offering  leagues,  tournament  and  a  number  of  programs, SATA  also  strives  to  promote  the  sport  of  tennis  at  a  number  of  our community  events.  Community  Outreach  Volunteers  are  needed  to  assist us  in  providing  mobile  tennis  fun around  San Antonio, setting up Quickstart nets and handing out racquets for adults and children to test out their  skills in short court tennis. Our goal is to share the sport we love and encourage participants to join us in an upcoming program, league, tournament or event.

Some of the events that SATA has previously participated include:

  • San Antonio River Authority Get Outdoors!

  • San Antonio Sports iPlay! Kids Tennis Challenge

  • San Antonio Fiesta Play Day
