USPTA QUALIFYING TOURNAMENT
GENERAL INFORMATION
1. All matches will be played at McFarlin Tennis Center. Players please report to the SATA office at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled match time to check in.
2. Outstanding entry fees must be paid prior to checking in for your first match. If you mailed your check in and made it payable to USPTA I will need you rewrite this payable to SATA. Please have your check book handy in this instance.
3. Report to your court once you have been assigned and you may begin a 5 minute warm up. Please take no longer than the allowed time as there may be matches coming on the court after you.
4. Both teams return used balls to the tournament desk and report scores.
5. No coaching is allowed and cell phones/electronic devices should not be taken on court. If a bathroom break is needed, please do not talk to players or friends on the way as it may be perceived that you are receiving coaching.
6. In the event of an injury, medical time out for treatment is 3 minutes according the USTA Friend at Court (no more than one time out can be taken unless it is a different injury).
7. The tournament desk in the SATA office will be open at 8:30 Saturday and Sunday morning. After the first matches of day begin there will be limited courts available for warm up. Please check at the tournament desk to see if there are courts that can be used for warm up
8. The McFarlin pro shop will not be open on Sunday and will close at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Ice will be made available to you outside the SATA office during those times. Also a limited amount of Gatorades will be on hand for you to purchase in the SATA office when the pro shop is closed.
9. Do not leave valuables in your car!
10. Check the SATA website under the USPTA Qualifying Tournament page for updates regarding weather conditions.
11. This is an un-officiated event. Everyone play by The Code, make your own line calls, be courteous….and …….HAVE FUN!
